Will of John Wyatt (1806-1887) of Mispillion Hundred, Kent County, DE

In the name and ____ of God, Amen, I John Wyatt of Mispillion Hundred, Kent County and state of Delaware, on this the twenty first day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty five, while of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make, execute and publish this my last will and testament in the manner and form of the following, that is to say:

Firstly, I do hereby give, devise an bequeath to my sons Andrew Wyatt and Thomas Wyatt all of my real estate to share and share alike equally between these two before mentioned. This land is not to be conveyed to any person or persons by deed or mortgage but to remain theirs their lifetime and then to their heirs or children.

Secondly, I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Wyatt my horse, cow & calf to be his after my death.

Thirdly, the residue of my personal property both household goods and each every piece and parcel of property now owned by me I do give and bequeath to my sons Andrew Wyatt and Thomas Wyatt to share and share alike and do otherwise direct and compell my sons Andrew Wyatt and Thomas Wyatt to pay all of my just debts and funeral expenses.

Fourth, I do give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Vansant the sum of ($25) twenty-five dollars in two years (without interest) after my death by my sons Andrew Wyatt and Thomas Wyatt.

Fifth, I do give and bequeath to my daughter Louisa Hopkins ($25) twenty-five dollars to be paid by Andrew Wyatt and Thomas Wyatt in two years after my decease without interest.

I hereby revoke all wills made by me heretofore declaring this and this only to be my last will and testament.
