24. Charles Mitchell⁵ Knox (William⁴, James³, John², Mr.¹)⁽⁸⁾ was born Canajoharie, Montgomery, NY 16 October 1827. Charles died 1921 at 93 years of age. His body was interred 1921 Canajoharie, Montgomery, NY.

He married Mary E. Briggs 21 December 1852. Mary died 28 October 1908 in Washington, DC.

Charles's occupation: malter Canajoharie, Montgomery, NY, 1865. Charles retired Canajoharie, Montgomery, NY, 1869. According to Reynolds, he was educated in the public schools and at the Ames Academy, finishing his studies at the Norwich Academy at Norwich, New York. After leaving school he returned to the farm where he remained until 1865.

Charles Mitchell Knox and Mary E. Briggs had the following children:

28 i. William⁶ Knox was born Canajoharie, Montgomery, NY 3 March 1854. William died 2 September 1880 at 26 years of age.

+ 29 ii. Charles Briggs Knox was born 8 October 1855.

30 iii. Anna Sarah Knox was born Canajoharie, Montgomery, NY 14 May 1859. Anna died 31 August 1902 at 43 years of age. She married James L. Northrup.
