1. Herbert Grant DeQuincy¹ Sewell was born in Portland, ME 18 June 1874.

He married Sarah (Sadie) Miller Knox in Tacoma, Pierce, WA, April 1912. Sarah was born Puyallup, Pierce, WA May 1885. Sarah was the daughter of James Ward Knox and Bessie Fuller. Sarah died 13 January 1920 at 34 years of age.

Herbert Grant DeQuincy Sewell and Sarah (Sadie) Miller Knox had the following children:

+ 2 i. Henry Jonathan² Sewell was born 12 October 1912.

3 ii. Betty Jane Sewell was born in Alameda, Alameda, CA 26 Jan 1917. Betty died 1972 in San Diego, San Diego, CA, at 55 years of age. She married William Dudley King in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA. William was born in Woodford, Essex, ENG 29 December 1890. William died 1960 in San Diego, San Diego, CA, at 69 years of age. (See William Dudley King for the continuation of this line.)
